Ultima Aura Earbuds Launching September 8, Making History as a Nepali Brand with Nepal’s First Hi-Res & Sony LDAC Milestone

Ultima Lifestyle, Nepal’s leading audio and wearable technology brand, is taking a proud step forward with the launch of its latest flagship earbuds, the Ultima Aura, on September 8. More than just a new product, Aura marks an important moment for Nepal’s growing audio industry as it becomes the first Nepali-brand earbuds to achieve Hi-Res Audio certification and Sony LDAC support. Tuned by Sony, Ultima Aura brings together high-fidelity audio technology, advanced noise cancellation, immersive sound and smart features in a product designed to make premium audio more accessible to Nepali consumers.
A Proud Moment for a Nepali Audio Brand
For years, premium audio in Nepal has largely meant looking toward international brands. Ultima Aura aims to change that conversation.
With Hi-Res Audio certification, Sony LDAC support and Sony-tuned sound, Aura brings technologies usually associated with considerably more expensive international earbuds to a Nepali brand. For Ultima, this is not simply another feature added to a product specification sheet; it is a milestone that the company believes deserves to be celebrated.
Aura gives Nepali consumers something they have always wanted, the ability to look at a homegrown product and say, “We can make this too.”
It is a reflection of how far Nepal’s consumer technology industry has come, and for Ultima, a sign of where it can go next.
Tuned by Sony, Made for the Way You Listen
The biggest story behind Ultima Aura is its audio experience.
Tuned by Sony and supporting Sony LDAC alongside Hi-Res Audio certification, Aura is built to deliver a richer and more detailed wireless listening experience. For music lovers, this means the earbuds are designed to preserve more detail in their audio and bring greater clarity and depth to the listening experience when paired with compatible devices and content.
But Ultima did not want Aura to be only about sound quality.
The company wanted to create earbuds that feel like a complete flagship product, from the way they sound and look to the way users interact with them every day.
That thinking led to features such as the unique Multi-Function Rotating Crown, which sits on the charging case and can be customized through the Ultima Link app, giving users a more intuitive way to control their earbuds.

Ultima Aura packs a long list of features into a compact pair of earbuds:

Making High-End Audio More Accessible
Perhaps the most surprising part of Ultima Aura is its price.
The earbuds carry an MRP of NPR 5,999, but will launch at a special price of just NPR 3,499 for a limited time.
Earbuds offering a similar combination of Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, advanced ANC and other premium features can often cost around NPR 15,000–20,000 or more in Nepal. Ultima believes consumers should not necessarily have to spend that much to experience high-end audio technology.
That is where Aura comes in.
Rather than simply competing on specifications, Ultima wants to compete on value. bringing technologies that were once considered premium and expensive into a price range that more Nepali consumers can realistically access.
“This Is Just the Beginning”
For Ultima, the launch of Aura is also about a bigger ambition.
The company has built its identity around bringing modern audio and wearable technology to Nepali consumers at prices that make sense for the market. Aura takes that philosophy a step further by introducing technologies and certifications that have traditionally been associated with much more expensive global products.
“Aura is very special to us because it represents more than a new pair of earbuds. It represents how far a Nepali technology brand can go when we challenge ourselves to think bigger. Becoming the first Nepali brand to achieve this Hi-Res and Sony LDAC milestone is a proud moment for everyone at Ultima. Most importantly, we want Nepali consumers to experience high-end innovation without feeling that they have to look outside Nepal to find it. And honestly, this is just the beginning,” said Prajwal Dhakal, General Manager, Ultima Lifestyle.
The company hopes Aura will encourage consumers to look at Nepali technology brands differently, not simply as affordable alternatives, but as brands capable of bringing meaningful innovation to the market.
From Nepal, For Nepal, and Beyond
The launch of Ultima Aura comes at a time when consumers are becoming more informed about audio technology and increasingly interested in what is actually inside the products they buy.
Features such as LDAC, Hi-Res Audio, ANC, low-latency gaming and app-based customization are no longer just technical terms for enthusiasts. They are becoming part of what consumers expect from modern audio products.
Ultima believes Nepal should be part of that evolution.
With Aura, the brand is bringing together global-level audio technologies, thoughtful design and an accessible price point, while carrying something extra that international brands cannot: the pride of being created by a Nepali technology brand for Nepali consumers.
And for Ultima, Aura is only the beginning of that journey.
